Welcome to Sue’s Pet Transport. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms (Applicable to All Services)

  • Bookings: All services must be booked in advance. A booking is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation from us.

  • Payment: Payment for services is due as specified in your invoice. We reserve the right to request a deposit for certain services.

  • Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service may be eligible for a full refund or credit.

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the service may incur a cancellation fee.

    • Failure to be present for a scheduled pickup may result in the forfeiture of the full service fee.

  • Pet Health & Vaccinations: You, the owner, warrant that your pet is fit and healthy. All pets must have current vaccinations (C5 for dogs, F3 for cats) as required. You must provide proof of vaccination upon request. You must disclose any known illnesses, injuries, or behavioural issues at the time of booking.

  • Liability: While we take the utmost professional care, all services are provided at the owner’s risk. Sue’s Pet Transport is not liable for any pre-existing illness, injury, or death of a pet. We are fully insured for public liability.

  • Emergency Veterinary Care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. However, you grant us permission to seek emergency veterinary treatment from your nominated vet or the nearest available clinic if we are unable to reach you. You agree to be fully responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

2. Pet Transport (“Pet Taxi”) Service

  • Safety: All pets will be transported in secure, size-appropriate carriers. We reserve the right to refuse transport to any animal we deem to be unsafe to handle or transport.

  • Appointments: We will make every effort to be punctual for all appointments. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

3. Pet Sitting (In-Home & Out-of-Home)

  • Owner’s Responsibilities: You must provide sufficient food, bedding, medication, and any other necessary supplies for the duration of the sitting period. For in-home sitting, you must provide safe and clear access to your property for our sitter.

  • Property Damage: We are not responsible for any damage to your property caused by your pet.

  • Keys: For in-home sitting, arrangements for key pickup and return will be agreed upon during the meet-and-greet.

4. Dog Walking

  • Behaviour and Safety: You warrant that your dog is not aggressive towards people or other animals. We reserve the right to terminate a walk immediately if a dog displays aggressive behaviour. All dogs must wear a collar with a current ID tag.

  • Group Walks: Group walks are for well-socialised dogs only. We reserve the right to determine if a dog is suitable for a group setting.

  • Weather Policy: In cases of extreme weather (e.g., heat, thunderstorms), we reserve the right to shorten, reschedule, or cancel a walk for the safety of the dog. We will communicate any changes to you.

  • Leashes: All dogs will be kept on a leash during walks, unless in a designated and secure off-leash area with prior written consent from you, the owner.

5. Pet Rescue & Rehoming

  • Volunteer Service: Our rescue and rehoming efforts are run by volunteers. While we operate with professionalism, the primary goal is the welfare of the animal.

  • Adoption Process: All potential adopters must complete an adoption application form and agree to a meet-and-greet and potentially a home check. We reserve the absolute right to refuse any adoption application without providing a reason.

  • Adoption Fee: A non-refundable adoption fee is required to finalise the adoption. This fee contributes to the costs of desexing, vaccination, microchipping, and general care of the animal.

  • Disclaimer: We make every effort to provide accurate information about a rescue animal’s history and temperament. However, we cannot guarantee the future health or behaviour of any adopted animal. The adopter agrees to assume all responsibility for the animal upon finalisation of the adoption.

6. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By engaging our services, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
